Being saved was never about feeling a certain way on a certain day. It rests on what Jesus already did, not on what kind of week you're having. The moment you trusted that His death and resurrection covered your sins, God made you His child, and a rough day can't undo that. The Bible says anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, and God doesn't go back on His word. So when doubt shows up, and it will, go back to that promise instead of your mood.
You will. Becoming a Christian doesn't flip a switch and make you perfect, and God knew that about you before He saved you. What's different now is that your sins are already forgiven through Jesus, so when you mess up you can go straight to Him instead of hiding. He'll forgive you, and He'll keep working on your heart as you go. This is a journey, not a clean record you have to protect on your own, and God is patient with you.
You don't earn points with God by showing up to church, but following Jesus was never meant to be a solo thing. A good church surrounds you with people who'll teach you, pray with you, and stick around when life gets heavy. It's one of the main ways God grows new believers. Not sure where to look? Our guide on finding a church is a good place to start.
The Bible's a big book, and you don't have to read it front to back. Start with the Gospel of John. It's all about who Jesus is and why He came. A little each day beats trying to swallow it whole, and it's worth asking God to help you make sense of what you're reading. Our guide on reading the Bible breaks it down if you want a roadmap.
Faith isn't built on feelings, so don't worry if there were no fireworks. What changed about you happened the second you trusted Christ, whether your emotions noticed or not. Feelings come and go with whatever's happening that day; God's promises don't move. Keep trusting what's true, and you'll start to see Him at work.
Telling people can feel awkward, especially the ones closest to you who don't believe. Here's the good news: you don't need every answer. Just being honest about what God has done in your life carries weight. Some people will be happy for you, some won't get it yet, so keep loving them either way and let your life do some of the talking. And if you want to talk it through first, a Hope Coach is around anytime.
